Book Review Policy
My recent review of The Constant Fire
was solicited, as I mentioned, and although I haven't done too many
book reviews (nor have I received many solicitations to do so), I
figure I should be really clear on my book review policy. I've taken a
couple minutes to form some ground rules for myself and summarized them
in list form below:
Plus one more bonus: unless the book is utterly world-changing to me, I'll likely offer the book to any other readers that might be interested in reading it at no cost.
- Solicitations for book reviews are subject to my discretion. I won't review everything thrown at me.
- Solicitations may include comped books, but never any other form of compensation.
- Regardless of situation, solicitations will always be clearly described in the review.
- Accepted solicitations for book reviews are not a guarantee for a positive review. I'll call it as I see it.
Plus one more bonus: unless the book is utterly world-changing to me, I'll likely offer the book to any other readers that might be interested in reading it at no cost.
