Telegraph Reports on Blog Rumors

Here's an interesting event: the Telegraph reports that the Higgs boson has been discovered at the Tevatron in a very low energy range and with a very high (99.7%) likelihood.

The source for this article? None other than the blog of Tommaso Dorigo which, in turn, only quotes two unnamed sources. I'm psyched that blogging has the chops to break news these days but this is a little absurd.

Though it would be fantastic to see Fermilab announce this finding after so many considered it yesterday's multi-billion dollar particle accelerator, they would have to be pretty lucky as most people considered the Higgs well out of range. At any rate, we'll hopefully get to know more during an upcoming HEP event in two weeks!
