More Bay Area Accelerator History

Speaking of the Bevatron, Physics Buzz has a short article on another disused piece of accelerator history, Stanford's Mark II. The bay area is quite lucky to have two such impressive bits of history in our backyard.

If you're interested in the history of the Mark II detector, check out the Mark family of detectors at SLAC, some pictures of the same and a 2005 article in symmetry magazine about the early accelerators in the area.
