Innernets are abuzz with news of the Blue Brain project which hopes to recreate the neocortex with electronics. Although the project's director, Henry Markram, is already singing the praises of all they've accomplished, Jonah Lehrer warns that his estimate of a fully operational electronic brain in "ten years" isn't a timeline as much as a statement that they're making good progress.
