Finally, a String Theory Prediction?
According to Physorg, some new research has started seeing physical results from work that started with string theory. The behavior of electrons near the point of high-temperature superconductivity have never before been predicted and it appears that ADS/CFT correspondence, our most very favorite topic, begins to explain this behavior.
I should note that you're still waiting on the second installment of the ADS/CFT post which explains Conformal Field Theory and wraps up the correspondence between that and Anti de Sitter space. I think this story is twice as interesting if you actually understand the correspondence so I'll try to work extra hard to get that out near the end of this week.
