Trapping Antimatter with ALPHA

Under the lure of the upcoming Angels and Demons movie, symmetry breaking has an excellent new article about creating antimatter and Berkeley Lab's attempt to capture more of it with the ALPHA experiment.

If there's one thing that comes close to my interest in neutrinos, it's antimatter so this article is particularly fascinating in its anecdotes about the life of an antihydrogen atom. In addition to the creation and detection of antimatter in the Lab, symmetry also briefly mentions one of the more complex questions relating to antimatter - why does our universe contain so much matter and so little antimatter? It's great to see ALPHA investigating one of the most baffling mysteries in the origin of our universe.
