Designing the ILC Detectors

SLAC Today kindly published a short summary of a late-April conference on detectors and accelerators for the International Linear Collider, which still has no set location or concrete funding.

SLAC is playing a key role in the design process of the ILC considering that its own 3km linear collider is the world's largest to date. You can find more details on the three proposed detectors, the International Large Detector, the Silicon Detector and the so-called 4th Concept Detector at their respective sites.
