Creating the Componets for Life

Along with panspermia, creating the basic building blocks of life with nothing more than a little organic chemistry has always been a hot research item. And who can blame them, they're only trying to figure out the origin of life on our planet.

According to the NY Times, two of the RNA nucleotides thought to be the most difficult to create are just some sugar, base and ultraviolet light away from being organically created. RNA is a tricky thing though, so they're still not conclusively able to prove that all of the RNA components for life can be created organically. Not yet, at least.
