Looking to find some way to move your spacecraft around? I suggest improving on this very impressive magnetoplasmadynamic thruster. It uses the Lorentz force to create and propel ionized Argon away from the nozzle, generating thrust (duh). Maybe not actually useful... but very clear and interesting discussion, theory and pictures!
