Fine Structure

Now that the LHC is done being built (though not quite done being repaired...), I feel a great lack of large-physics-experiment-construction photos on the interwebs. But fear not! You can check out some great old (OK, not that old) photos from the construction of SLAC, right here in the Bay Area. Everything from digging to old detectors, and no shortage of style straight out of the 70s. PDFs, unfortunately, but that'll do.
