The Larger, Closer Moon
The Moon will be at it's closest point to the Earth tonight which means it'll be a whopping 14% bigger than it usually is. This is *NOT* the same as the effect you see when the Moon near the horizon appears larger as that's an optical illusion but, presuming you catch the Moon near the horizon tonight, this would make for quite an impressive optical illusion.
NASA has a number of other facts about the Moon-Earth distance (it varies by 50k km!) on their newsy/bloggy thing.
