We seem to be in the midst of a week-long artificial intelligence binge for which I am not ashamed because this is good stuff. Kevin Kelly, keen observer of all things tech and culture (and blogger), has an interesting article about a future global superorganism, born of all things interconnected and electromagnetic.
Just to be clear, KK is incredibly thorough here and explains quite a lot of backstory, not to mention a deep discussion about what defines a superorganism and how we'll know when we see one.
